MC3 Cardiopulmonary is dedicated to developing and manufacturing innovative and effective new extracorporeal life support (ECLS) technologies that will be used to treat severe heart and lung failure. We have experienced high growth over the past few years and have a state-of-the-art production facility and have launched several successful products. This growth is expected to continue as we seek to become the ECLS market leader.
Role Summary:
Globally manage Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS/ECMO) product line, including Crescent, Crescent RA, Opus, Nautilus, and a major new product being launched shortly within the advanced life support devices. Execute MC3’s business objectives. Work closely with Medtronic ECT Sales and Marketing reps who are responsible for selling all MC3 products exclusively and globally. Provide marketing/business expertise to Product Development Team and have responsibility for launching and managing/monitoring products in the US and OUS geographies.
Core Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Work within a team structure to rapidly penetrate the market with both existing and new product launch.
  • Develop strategies related to specific product line with both minimal direction and/or direct execution.
  • Oversee product education, conference planning, price sensitivity analysis, forecasting, and data integrity.
  • Develop impactful product positioning and annual marketing plan.
  • Monitor sales trends and make recommendations for deeper penetration of products into the market.
  • Develop key technical and marketing materials to support global sales force and maintain frequent communication and providing high-value insights.
  • Stay current on key clinical literature and communicate important findings to the sales force and Management.
  • Keep current on new and competitive technology offerings in the marketplace.
  • Work closely with R&D to develop new products.
  • Provide direction to development efforts for product improvements and longer-term new product and technology development.
  • Obtain product knowledge, to be seen as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) by our customers,,MC3, and our distributor Medtronic’s functional partners.
  • Work closely with and provide direction to other members of the Marketing Team.
  • Work with cross-functional members as required to ensure products meet global standards.
  • Define customer requirements for product additions or improvements, and provide analysis for business development opportunities.
Product Management Responsibilities:
  • Work with Engineering and Quality to ensure quality of products and quickly rally necessary functional partners to respond to quality issues.
  • Act as an interface with demand planning and supply chain to manage supply/demand forecasting needs.
  • Develop additional ECLS/ECMO selling tools as needed.
  • Conduct VOC (Voice of Customer) in all customer segments.
  • Support launch readiness plans.
Other Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and participate in key customer visits, either onsite or in customer’s clinical setting, tailoring the message to meet visit objectives.
  • Serve as the in-house support core team member for MC3/Distributor Medtronic marketing organizations. Support convention planning and attend conferences as appropriate.
  • Cultivate key relationships and regularly obtain feedback from customers and field organization to gather information, identify needs, and assess opportunities to help drive marketing programs and input to product planning.
  • Other duties as assigned by Marketing VP.
Required Qualifications
  • BS/BA Degree in Business/Marketing and at least 2 years of experience in a Medical Device field, or
  • MBA Degree with at least 2 years experience in Sales/Marketing, or
  • BS Degree with at least 2 years in Cardiothoracic related Healthcare experience
  • Demonstrated success in project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at a variety of levels of the organization and within a variety of functional areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including with physician and administrative customers.
  • Demonstrated results-orientation.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • MBA/BSN/RT/CCP/PA/NP.
  • 2+ years Sales / Marketing in medical device experience or Hospital based Healthcare experience in the Cardiothoracic space.
  • Ability to absorb, understand and convey complex technical product knowledge.
Physical Job Requirements:
  • Up to 25% travel.
