Product Status

BioLung (updated April, 2008):
The BioLung artificial lung is in the process of being transferred to production, and testing for regulatory submissions will be completed in 2008. MC3 has licensed the BioLung to Novalung, GmbH for commercialization. Novalung is currently marketing devices for lung failure in Europe, Asia, and Canada, and plans to enter the U.S. market in the coming year.

M-Pump (updated March, 2008):
The M-pump is a peristaltic roller pump with uniquely inherent pressure safety features. MC3 has designed and built pumps of various sizes to achieve flow rates between 0.1 to 10 L/min. MC3 is in discussions with manufacturers of devices that require pumping of blood and other fluids, and will work to incorporate the M-pump technology into their devices. MC3 has also developed a version of the M-pump with enhanced pulsatility, as well as a pump suitable for pediatric bypass surgery.

Biocompatible coatings (updated March, 2008):
MC3 developed device coatings based on proprietary materials that generate nitric oxide at their surface. This part of the business has been spun-off as Accord Biomaterials, Inc.
