Outside Inventor
MC3 will work with outside inventors to develop and commercialize medical device ideas.
Concept
An inventor or technology management office presents an idea to MC3 under a confidentiality agreement. MC3 assesses the idea and determines whether it is a good match for MC3’s capabilities.
MC3 and the inventor agree on an option or license arrangement, where the inventor can benefit from participation in profits.
Development
MC3 works to raise funds, through grants and other sources, to finance the project, and the MC3 technical team develops the technology to realize a medical device product.
Commercialization
MC3 identifies the best path to commercialization, either working with strategic partners for licensing, or creating a spin-off company to seek outside investment.
